Meredith Named to Hendricks Award Watch List

Senior Cameron Meredith joined the group of Huskers earning preseason recognition, as he was named to the Ted Hendricks Award watch list. The Hendricks Award goes to the best defensive end in the country.

Meredith has been a two-year starter for the Blackshirts, making 27 straight starts over the last two years. The 6-foot-4, 260-pounder totaled 58 tackles, including five sacks, and nine quarterback hurries to earn honorable-mention All-Big Ten honors. He topped the Husker defensive line in tackles and had seven games with at least five tackles during his junior campaign. In 2010, he had 64 stops, including 30 solo tackles, eight tackles for loss and 10 quarterback hurries in earning second-team All-Big 12 recognition.

The 2012 winner will be announced on December 5.
