U.S. Olympian Tervel Dlagnev and comedian Greg Warren highlight the Second Annual Loper Wrestling Booster Club Benefit August 24-25 (Friday and Saturday) at the World Theatre "On the Bricks" in Downtown Kearney.

Doors open at 6:00 on both nights. Tickets are available for $ 30.00 and can soon be purchased at www.pickmytickets.com or by contacting Loper head wrestling coach Marc Bauer at 308-440-7170/ bauermd@unk.edu. They also will be available at the door.

All proceeds benefit the Nebraska-Kearney wrestling program.

Each night, Dlagnev, a two-time national champion wrestler for UNK who recently placed fifth at the London Olympics, will speak and Warren will perform.

On Saturday, alum Martin Segovia will be inducted into the UNK Wrestling Hall of Fame. Also on the 25th, a live auction featuring hunting excursions, golf packages, signed athletic memorabilia, vacations, professional and collegiate sporting tickets and a raffle of other items will be held.

Warren, most recently seen on "Comedy Central Presents", "The Late Late Show" and "Last Comic Standing", has been building a strong fan base around the country with his act inspired by stories from his Midwestern upbringing. He also was All-American wrestler for the University of Missouri.
